Diego joined the Tilsley Architects team in February 2022. He enjoys working on a variety of projects: residential, commercial, and hospitality. Diego follows projects from design concept and development all the way through construction documents, permit phase, and construction administration. He takes great pride in getting to know the firm’s clients and helping them realize their project goals.

For Diego, architecture is the mixture of human moments, perceptions, and beliefs that shape the physical spaces of daily life. The architect transforms these spaces to make way for the changes of human need and expression.

Diego received his Bachelor’s in Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in

Bogotá (Colombia) and his Master of Science in Architectural Design and History from the Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Diego worked primarily in preservation and restoration architecture in Bogotá. While there, he served as the resident construction manager for the architectural team during the restoration of the Church of San Ignacio (17th c.). While in Italy he worked on a number of residential projects with his firm and was involved in all parts of the design process. He also gained an intimate knowledge of European construction techniques.
