Mark joined Tilsley Architects after a 20+ year career with a larger architectural firm where he gained a broad range of experiences planning, designing, and managing larger scale commercial, institutional, retail and residential projects. Mark brings these experiences and skills to the team to supplement and complement the firm’s existing skill sets. The resultant synergy has helped Tilsley Architects to develop into the well-balanced and progressive design firm it has become. Mark is also a certified planner and heads up the firms planning and zoning efforts.

Understanding that clear communication is the foundation of any project’s success, starting with listening and understanding the client’s goals and aspirations is a top priority for Mark. Through this understanding, the creative process is applied to create clear, concise, sustainable solutions in accord with the customer’s goals and objectives.

Mark graduated in 1981 from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) School of Architecture, earning a professional degree in architecture.
